Welcome to AdoptionFathers.com, the ultimate resource for adoptive fathers!

This site is dedicated to serving men and their families as they pursue the great calling of adoption. At AdoptionFathers.com our focus is on uncovering and communicating the truth behind the questions, issues, fears, hopes and obstacles of being an adoptive father; beginning with the decision to adopt all the way through the parenting process. Our ultimate objective is simply to support and encourage the thousands of men being called to build their family via adoption.

AdoptionFathers.com was started quite honestly out of frustration over the lack of resources available to me as my wife and I pursued the adoption of my first child several years ago. I searched high and low only to find that no one was talking or writing about the challenges that I faced throughout the adoption process. While there seemed to be plenty of opportunity for my wife to connect with other women for support, perspective and information (via blogs, phone calls, books/articles, oh and more phone calls), there were limited resources available to meet the needs of the adoptive father.

Since completing our first adoption nearly two years ago, I’ve had the opportunity to talk with more and more adoptive dads and was amazed to find out that they were just as frustrated as me. What’s worse is that most of these guys dealt with many of the same challenges that I faced during the process. How great would it have been to leverage the wisdom and understanding of the guys who went before me? How much easier would the years spent in the adoption process have been if I had access to resources directed at me? How many more men would enter and complete the adoption process if only they could learn from guys who battled the same challenges and found a way through?

It seemed clear that God was calling for this void to be filled – AdoptionFathers.com.

So thank you for joining us on our site and trusting us to support you during this amazing journey. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have an amazing story you’d like to share, a challenge with which you need support, or if there is any other way we can be of service to you. Thank you!

May God bless your adoption pursuit, and to Him be the Glory!

This amazing interview with Mike Frick, adoptive father of two beautiful boys (one Ukraine and one domestic), provides amazing insight into the transformation of a father’s heart. In this interview Mike describes how God softened his hardened heart towards adoption and led him on an amazing journey to retrieve a most beautiful prize – a family. Mike chronicles the challenges (including a lost dossier!) and triumphs of his emotional journey to the Ukraine with his wife Holly to bring their son Noah home, followed by the domestic adoption of their little boy Titus. Ultimately viewers of this interview will be blessed by Mike’s story of transformation, faith, and God’s perfect timing and will.

This is an incredibly insightful interview with a remarkable Father and leader of a family of nine children – 7 adopted! I conducted this interview with Steve just one week before he departed for Ethiopia to adopt his 7th, 8th and 9th children. You’ll notice that we chose to shoot this video in the middle of a construction site – Steve’s basement! It seemed like the right setting to shoot because Steve was working feverishly up until he left for Ethiopia to complete the remodeling of his basement to accommodate his growing family! Steve’s heart and compassion come through so clearly in this video as he shares his story and priceless wisdom. I hope Steve’s story will bless your adoption pursuit.

You may also notice that in the introduction to this interview I refer to this site as ‘afatherseyes.com’ – that was the originally name for this site back when we interviewed Steve!
